Our mission is also to prepare the next generation of psychotherapists through providing holistic, systemic and integrative clinical supervision.

Clinical Approach

Our approach to therapy is holistic and integrative, providing a safe space through compassion, validation, understanding and support.

Our clinical work is essentially shaped by an integration of treatment models that are trauma informed, attachment focused, neuroscientific and relational including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (SP), Internal Family Systems therapy (IFS), Ego States Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Psychodynamic therapy modalities including Bowen Family Systems Therapy, Object Relations Theory and Contextual Family Therapy.

At Healing Therapy and Consultation, we embrace the metaphor of a holding environment as an anchor for the therapy journey and the journey of healing. By facilitating that holding environment we aim to guide you build insight, develop mindfulness, acceptance and awareness of the past in the present, with the goal of integrating your whole self and coming into the present moment with a greater sense of safety, peace, understanding and acceptance.

Through our therapy approach we integrate guiding you on building insight with helping you create a pathway towards your desired life changes and your life vision and purpose.

Rosse Mesa, LMFT

Psychoterapist and Founder

‘‘Therapy is a space for healing at any moment in life, a space of endless possibilities to achieve internal growth, a journey rooted in self-awareness and integration’’.

I am a dedicated and caring Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional in the States of Georgia and New York, with over 14 years of clinical experience in the mental health field. I specialize in the treatment of trauma, grief and loss, mood disorders, personality disorders and family relationships. I am fully multilingual and offer therapy in English, Spanish and Portuguese.

I am originally from the Dominican Republic where I first graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology. From an early age I was called into the mental health field in a society where mental illness was stigmatized and a forbidden topic. This calling and life mission led me to spending decades studying Neurosciences, Psychology and Trauma Treatment. I hold a Master of Science degree in Neurosciences and a Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, as well as Certifications in Trauma Treatment and advanced trainings in EMDR Therapy, IFS therapy, Contextual Therapy, among others . Understanding the human experience with trauma, pain and loss and witnessing how through therapy healing is possible, has been the seal of a lifelong legacy.

In my years of experience living and practicing in Latin American countries and lastly in the United States, I have worked in diverse clinical settings, with men and women ages 5-65 from different cultural backgrounds, who have experienced complex trauma. Through a holistic and integrative approach in our work in therapy, I have witnessed them gain emotional balance, self-integration, awareness and empowerment.

As a psychotherapist I practice a holistic and integrative approach and work mainly from a psychodynamic, trauma informed and neuroscientific and systemic perspective, based on the evidence of how trauma impacts the body and brain, and the awareness that in order to create lasting change and heal trauma wounds we must create insight and integrate past and present while establishing a secure connection with ourselves and in relationship with our significant others.

It is now my honor to be your therapist and together embark on the mission of healing. As your therapist it is my goal to foster hope and build on your strengths to support you in reaching your life goals, build stronger relationships and guide you through your journey of internal growth and healing.

Testimonials

  • “I have tried CBT therapy and other therapy modalities on and off for 20+ years, but I have finally found a match with Rosse. She is truly a gem among therapists. Doing IFS therapy with her is giving me a greater sense of freedom to explore choices for my life. For the first time, I feel seen, heard, and understood with her caring presence and patience. Our sessions allow room and space to foster trust and collaboration during therapy. It's so obvious that she values what I have to say, encourages me to trust myself more, and respects a steady therapeutic process rather than a speedy one. Rosse really cares that I keep healing in a way that feels gentle, comfortable, and safe for me. Thanks, Rosse!”
